Is shipping sustainable?
Unfortunately, shipping is the hardest part of our business to conduct when trying to remain sustainable. Because of this, we try to cut our CO2 footprint in other places. While it may take fossil fuels to get your items from us to you, we try to limit those fossil fuels in the production and manufacturing of those items.

The Wild Gardens
What lives in your jungle?
In our four Wild Gardens across our four retail locations, you can find over 2,000 different species of plants and 300 species of fish and invertebrates from across the world. From the Amazon to the Outback, you are certain to find tons of unique species across the jungles.
Are there real animals in the jungle?
While we are home to fish at all four of our locations, and butterflies can be found at our Chicago, IL location in their enclosed jungle, there are no other live animals found here. However, you can be sure to come across tons of animatronic species brought to you by Russels Creative, LLC. the same company that does animatronics for the Rainforest Cafe.
Do All stores have a jungle?
So far, our Portland, ME, Chicago, IL, Orlando, FL, and Anaheim, CA locations all have Wild Gardens within our stores, with the Chicago, IL location being an enclosed greenhouse as well housing tropical butterflies. While we do not at this time have any announcements about future locations, rest-assured, we plan on continuing the gardens motif going forward.
The Happy Capy
Does the happy capy offer plant-based options?
While the menu rotates and very much depends on the seasonality of local produce and meats, there is always a plant-based alternative to all menu items for our vegan and vegetarian friends.
What does the happy capy mean?
The capybara is probably the friendliest animal in the whole world! You can see them hanging out with everything from monkeys to ducks to even caiman (a cousin of the alligator)! What animal could be more happy?
Does my money go to a good place?
All proceeds from the Happy Capy Cafe goes towards the Wild Foundation's Amazon Fund where we help to fund local people to make positive change and protect the natural habitat. If we really want to save the rainforest, we all have to play a part, and yours can be eating a delicious sandwich or salad from the Happy Capy Cafe!
Products
What do you sell?
We sell tons of different things, but our biggest line is clothing. We have all types of clothing, from casual like t-shirts and jeans to athletic wear, swimwear, and semi-formal like button-downs. We also sell accessories and jewlry made from recycled and natural materials like rocks and gemstones. Plus, we love nature and sell books, artwork, and even feathers, antlers, and skull casts for our nature-loving friends.
Are all products yours?
While much of our product line is made by The Wild Life, some things found in our stores are from other companies. We only partner with companies who have similar sustainability goals as we do, so we have a limited roster of coworking companies. We do work with The North Face and Wild Republic most notably.
Can I buy all items online?
Unfortunately, at this time, our online stores are minimalistic in terms of our products. While you can buy all of the amazing clothes and tons of jewlry, bags, and other accessories, as well as a wide collection of Wild Republic plushes, Christmas ornaments, and other items, many items do remain in-store only. Due to shipping costs and pollution, we have not found a way to sustainably ship rocks, gemstones, feathers, skull casts, or some of our other more unique gifts.
