About The WIld life
Founded in 2022 by two friends right out of college, The Wild Life is a retail chain that hopes to turn the idea of shopping on its head.
Our Products
Here at The Wild Life, our mission is always to upcycle and recycle as much as we possibly can. Because of this, we take in millions of pounds of plastic, cotton, tin, and other scrap and waste to repurpose into comfortable and stylish clothing and accessories. All printing on clothing or accessories is done in a water-based print to avoid using harmful chemicals usually used in the printing process.
On top of that, we partner with other sustainable companies and companies close to the conservation cause such as The North Face and Wild Republic to co-create new products to sell in our retail and online stores.
Anything and everything we sell at The Wild Life is made to bring you closer to nature and our planet through positive actions. From clothes you can run, swim, and climb in to clothes that make you feel your best, it can all be done through sustainability.

our stores
Our flagship store is at Disney Springs at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. This location is in the West Side and replaced the NBA experience, located between the Cirque Du Soliel and Splitsville locations. As this is our flagship store, it is our largest store, taking up three floors and hosts a wide array of rooms and experiences that cannot be found at our Chicago, Portland, or Disneyland locations.
When walking in, you are greeted by a tall mountain with a cascading waterfall from it. These are the Wild Gardens, the centerpiece at all four of our retail locations, yet this is the biggest of the four. Here, shoppers can meander through a massive garden of living plants with water features throughout that contain live fish from all across the globe. From the small but beautiful African cichlids to the large and in-charge South American Red-tailed catfish, there are tons of live fish to see in these aquariums. There are also animatronic animals from monkeys to birds to even an elephant spread out through this 3,000 square foot indoor jungle. The gardens also extend up into the second floor with even more to see.
On the first floor is the apparel section, featuring specialized areas for our mens', womens', and childrens', sections. Here, all of our shirts, pants, dresses, and other apparel can be found. These three sections all surround the Wild Gardens and can be accessed by going around the gardens, or following the garden signs to point you towards your section while in the gardens.
The second floor houses our accessories department with a section for backpacks, purses, and other bags as well as a section for jewelry, sunglasses, regular glasses, and other accessories like belts and hats. Also on the second floor is the Rachel Carson Memorial Library, a section dedicated to poet and outspoken conservationist Rachel Carson. Here, you can find books, field guides, posters, and artwork all about wildlife, plants, and all things nature. The third section on the second floor is the Quarry, a section where you can find rocks, gemstones, and even fossils to buy. You can pay extra to have any of these items turned into jewelry or can bring them home as is. The final section of the second floor is the Conservatory, a small section that sells unique collectibles like insect study skins, feathers, snake sheds, antlers, and replica skulls. For anyone looking to bring home a unique treasure from nature, look no further than the conservatory.
The third floor is the smallest in square footage as it has a large hole in the center looking down to the gardens below that take up the first and second floor. There is only one department here underneath the glass rooftop: The United Seeds of America. This iniative sells seeds and plants from all 50 states for guests to be able to purchase, bring home, and plant. So many commonly purchased plants aren't native to the area they are grown in and either don't thrive or take over and become invasive like Oriental bittersweet and Kudzu. To foster proper native gardening, The Wild Life has a section for all 50 states from Alabama to Wyoming where you can browse hundreds of native yet still beautiful plants that you can, and should, ethically grow in your own gardens. Plants are also labeled by what good they do for the environment, such as species good for bees and hummingbirds, species that take in lots of Carbon Dioxide, and more!
Our other locations are smaller, but still contain smaller versions of all of these sections, except for the Conservatory, this is a Disney Springs exclusive location. Our online store only features apparel and accessories as well as our United Seeds collection, though smaller numbers than you will find in any of our retail locations.
